Realization – A Precious Gift

Being a newcomer of Pronology Services Inc. participating the Cadres Conference for the first time, the most important thing I have learned is realizing the transition of “Sense of Identity” to the further fit-in “Sense of Happiness”, which is the basic drive to job evaluation and annual performance review.

Management Conference – A noun that represents freshness, attractiveness, expectation and fear

As a first time participant to such a big event, everything was fresh to me. I was attracted to it for not knowing what sparks on business promotion we would be kindling during discussions. Hence, I had a lot of expectations over the outcome of meeting. I also worried if boss or other department heads raised challenging questions that I was not able to respond properly. To me, this was a “looking-forward-to-but-also-afraid-of-being-hurt” event.

Core values – learning and growing

Although the company arranged lots of free time for participants to relieve the pressure during this two-day Cadres conference. But to me, who participated in this event for the first time, had to digest the conference agenda and plan to reach resolutions. Instead, I felt the free time was causing a tense situation for me.
I realized the core value of learning and growth in such tense atmosphere, which made my mood full of “thankfulness” and “joy.” From the successful achievements in this event, I deeply realized that:
  1. Simulate enthusiasm from the heart
By choosing to do the meaningful and happy things to you, we can actively and effectively inspire enthusiasm from the heart. Furthermore, we can gain beyond the expected benefits and satisfying sense of accomplishment.
  2. Learn how to fail
There is no shortcut to success. Do not let fear of failure stop you from trying something new. Just know that the gap between success and failure is only a thin line, depending on whether you have the courage and perseverance in the pursuit of success.
  3. Accept the unsatisfying self
Do not ignore the uniqueness of yourself. Also, you need to get rid of the ideology of "perfectionism". Note that feeling disappointed, upset, or sad, is also a part of human nature. Accept them and think them as a part of the natural things. You need to occasionally allow yourself to get lost and feel sad. Then ask yourself: what you can do to make yourself feel a little better.
  4. Train oneself regularly
Be fully prepared to work at any time. From the preparation of work, you could shape your own wisdom and courage. So that can help your professional achievements get broader and higher.
  5. Get adequate sleep
Although sometimes "staying up all night" is inevitable. However, to sleep for 7-9 hours a day is a great investment. This will make you be more efficient, more creative and happier.
  6. Have a healthy communication
"Give" and "take" are the two faces of one same thing. When we help others, we also help ourselves. When we help ourselves, we also indirectly help others.
  7. Be courageous and determined
Courage is not the appearance of blind impulse. It is that you know you fear but you still have the wisdom in order to step forward resolutely and decisively.
  8. Express gratitude
In your daily life, you would receive caring and help from family, friends and colleagues. Keep in mind that you should not take it for granted. We should always be thankful and do not save the expression of gratitude.
All of the above are my precious gifts that I received from the Management Conference. I recorded the wisdom from colleagues, and I will always keep in mind and be thankful. I believe my "identity in happiness". This will help me improve my magnanimity and breadth level.
