During the introduction of the the automatic information exchange system on the Marketing Team in issue no. 10 and 13, the system automation activity never stops It constantly undergoes optimization and development. We hope that this system can meet the EMS rapid change in the low volume and high mix production, providing customer satisfaction.
Marketing Team is a front-end department on PSI. Our work and responsibilities includes the technical documents released, the old and new BOM comparison (ECN), ERP BOM built and work orders revision and so on. In order to build the working orders, purchase materials for production arrange the production schedule, and provide customer quotation to pick up orders at the same time, the working time is often very short. In order to pursue "Speed, efficiency and ability to make no mistakes" in the low volume and high mix production and sales orders are more quantity. We need a good tools to assist us in implementing and therefore of the" Automation Information Exchange Systems" is developed.
Currently, the system features are:
1. Automation of technical documents release
- Technical data transfer and storage:

Use the VBA program to transfer the customer technical documents and store it in our formal area in file server.

- Production Technical Data Sheet :

Every day before work off, through CSFR370 it releases the customer technical documents by e-release. All of departments can see the customer technical documents by electronic kanban system.

- Production Technical Data - Marketing:

By MIS information system platform one can enter file server formal area to find the related technical documents of each customer's product.

- Query of Production Technical Information:

New features. It has replaced the previous manual operation of the "External Documents Login List". You can query the stored time, files and date type and others through this module directly. It is a platform for keeping the records from the customer’s technical documents.

2. Automation of customer BOM operations
- BOM Comparison:

When customer provides the new BOM, we will do the new and old BOM comparison and release a "BOM Differences Record". And then we will do the ERP BOM and production SOP revision procedure.

- BOM EDI Transfer :

Use the VBA program so that the customer BOM can be transferred and built the ERP BOM. The differences are checked automatically.

We will cooperate with IT to build the "Technical Document EDI Auto Transferred" in a dual information system platform architecture between the client and the PSI, and let the overall information exchange become more automated and faster. On the other side, we will develop the batch of changes for ERP BOM and work orders revised by customer ECN released and so on. Optimization and reduction of the error rate of information processing such as the ERP BOM and work orders revised are goals in the next stage of marketing automation. We will put efforts into providing customers better quality, more competitive and satisfying service.
