How does PSI control the kitting date for production?

As a EMS company, it is very important to get the materials in the expected time, and finish the order within the due time. Therefore, PSI needs to have a more rigorous control process to meet the requirement for the production of low volume and high mix .
How does PSI control the kitting date? In fact, PSI does the control action depending on the ERP system which is suitable for the company.
When sales get the order, the ERP system will automatically generate the corresponding shortage list according to the customer's BOM. It can reduce artificial statistical errors. Then the Purchaser will buy the materials as the demand of the ERP. The system data will update every day and every morning. MC will run the Shortage list and send it to the sales and purchaser by mail. Meanwhile he/she will list the abnormal parts in the mail to remind the related people (see picture 1). Sales and Purchaser will confirm and reply them one by one. All the replies will be written back to the ERP system. (See picture 2, the column with an asterisk sign meaning it is abnormal and the date must be checked. And the row is the reply from the sales and purchaser.) So we can ensure that the data in the database is up to date. At the same time, MC will run a shortage list for the order in the latest three days, to remind sales and Purchase to check again and make sure all the listed materials come to PSI timely and the production schedule will not be delayed. In addition, PSI MC will also hold a material conditions meeting every Monday. Sales Dep. and pur. Dep. will join together to review the kitting date and delivery date, and deal with the abnormal parts, so each order's kitting date is accurate. Of cause, each department must assume the responsibilities and accept the supervision of the quality control department. Once errors and loss appear, the performer and the leader need to review the short-terms and long-term strategies to avoid similar problems.
Such a repeated, interlocking control process for controlling the kitting date! Why should we worry about the order not be arranged in time? We believe that PSI will be more competitive in the future!
