We went on a tour to Huizhou -Longmen kai Yao Garden, Xiangxi Castle, and Hill Park for two days.
In June, we really enjoyed the summer, and it was very refreshing. In the morning, the weather was very good. The wind was quite light, and the red sun rose in the east. It was time to start.
A tour bus took us from Shenzhen to Huizhou. All the colleagues talked each to other with a big smile on their face, excitedly and pleasurably. Everyone ate snacks, chatted, listened to music, and played games to make the two hours tour more interesting.
Through the window, we could see continuous hills on both sides of the road. When we looked everywhere, it was green, and lush vegetation covered the whole mountain. The air was quite fresh. We all forgot the busy work, and just enjoyed the scenery along the way.
Our first stop was the Xiangxi Castle. We started from the ancient pier with Lingnan style, and then took a bamboo raft on the Xiangxi River. We got a good view of the river's wonders. We couldn’t help but recalling a classic ancient Chinese poem: The wind strokes willow bank, and a household on a creek flows under a stone-bridge nearby. Through the bamboo grove, there was a crooked stone road. White walls, black tiles greeted by a typical hakka building with ‘five houses ancient walls’. The ancient village had a historical culture. The road was quiet, making us keep silent., It reminded us of a poem written by Dai, "Rain Alley”. The long history, and the profound culture, making us imagine what it would be like to go back into the past.
When we took a “bamboo car” in the bamboo grove, we found the bamboos attractive. They were very tall, and very lush. We had fun when we got off the car. For example, we walked in the quiet bamboo grove. We had a dinner in bamboo restaurant and tasted the food from the local farms. It made us forget the trouble things in the world.
Then we watched Fire Dog Dance, which was a unique graceful dance of Yao nationality. We enjoyed a variety of performance of customs. And then we learnt the quiet life about Yao, making us appreciate the cultural of the minorities.
The next day we visited the Provincial Level Forest Park. It was very beautiful, and the air was fresh. After the climbing we felt tired. Our hair and clothes was wet with sweat. But our manager Gilbert Chen didn't lose to the young people. It seemed to be an easy thing for him. At the top of the mountain, we could watch the whole Longmen Town. And we found that it was a strange tower, with flat octagonal, and seven floors. We appreciated the scenery along the way, and then we came to a quaint restaurant with a very rare Chinese courtyard, a fish pond, and some other old buildings. We saw them all on TV, making us feel they were unreal.
This tourism gave everyone a chance to get to know each other, the other side of the life. We love to work, and love life, too.
The tour organized by the company is a good way to recover energy again for works in the future. It makes us like this company, and like this big family!
