Yenom currently has a total capacity of 5600㎡. Each floor is 1260㎡ in space. That means our teams spread out and occupies five floors. It’s not a good allocation for manufacturing process. To improve the situation, we considered to move in 2010. Then, we found a pretty good location not far from our current location with a total space of 9000 ㎡.

To reduce the communication gap and link all of the different production steps closer. Our target is set on finding a massive single floor space before we start to seek the new location. We found current space in Nov. It’s about 5 minutes walk from our current location, only one floor with 9000 ㎡ space. The advantages for the space are as below.

- Shorten the transfer distance for different processes.
- An open space to reduce the space pressure of employees.
- Management advantage
- Looks more professional as an EMS company.
- Capacity expansion concerns. There is 30% more additional space to be added.

It is a big task to relocate a factory with many equipments and facilities. Schedule has been planned to shorten the duration of movement and reduces the impact on customer’s schedule as below.

We will move our facilities team by team. As soon as a team moved to the new location, the team will setup immediately and start to work while stuff is settled. Such as SMT lines –-
There will be half a day to detach all the connections and power lines to prepare for movement, one day for movement, one day to align and locate all of the machines, the third day to do the power on trial and the fourth day to build the products formally.
