Empathetic and humble

First Scenario:

Buyer A: “Mr. Chang, I just faxed a purchase order to you. Delivery time is one week, make sure there will be no delay and the product is of good quality. If any problem happens again, I’m going to switch to another vendor.”
Vendor B: “Another urgent order, bad attitude, who do you think you are? When our business gets better, we’d be happy if you leave.”
Production Manager B: “You know how busy we are this week, please! All of the capacities are occupied., Please help us extend the delivery date with the customer.”
Sales B: “It’s not my problem. You should figure out what to do: be on time or I’m going to get the boss.” Product Manager B：“Well, What a difficult person!.”
Production B: “We have already worked during the weekends and overtime for two months. What else do you want？ Please just extend the delivery date for one more week.”
Production Manager B: “You should try to find some temporary workers and deliver the product on time. Otherwise it’s going to be bad for everyone.”
Production Manager B:＂.........＂
Buyer A: “You can deliver the product tomorrow without problem, right? It’s always delayed. I hope it won’t be the same this time.”
Sales B: “Ok, we will be on time.”
Sales B: “The customer is pushing, we need to deliver tomorrow. When will we be ready?”
Production Manager B: “Can’t you see everyone is working their hardest. There is still plenty of time before tomorrow. How would I know?”
Production Manager B: “Sales is asking if the shipment for tomorrow is ready.”
Manufacturer B: “It’s impossible. I’m need double manpower to finish all of your schedule. I need one more week of extension.”
Production Manager B: “Why can’t you say something earlier? This happens every time.”

Second Scenario:

Buyer A: “Mr. Chang, I just faxed a purchase order to you. Delivery time is one week, make sure f there will be no delay and the product is of good quality. If any problem happens again, I’m going to switch to another vendor.”
Sales B: “Sure, we will do our best to deliver on time. I will coordinate with our teams. If there’s any problem with the delivery date, we will discuss it with you. Thank you for your constant support.”
Production Manager B: “You know how busy we are this week, please! All of the capacities are occupied. Please help us to extend the delivery date with the customer.”
Sales B: “Please do your best to arrange the schedule of the order. Then give me the possible delivery date.　If necessary, I will try to work with the customer to extend the deadline.”
Production B: “We have already worked during the weekends and overtime for two months. What else do you want？Please just extend the delivery date for one more week.”
Production Manager B: “Please try to find temporary workers. I will ask the customer for one-week extension first. If we can find more manpower, I’ll tell the good news to the customer afterwards.”
Production B: “Ok，I’ll also ask the help of our indirect labor internally to see if we can survive this period.”
Production Manager B: “Sorry, I communicated with our production team. We have got too many orders recently. Please ask the customer to give us a one-week extension and we will try our best. If we can deliver earlier, we will let you know right away.
Sales B: “Ok, it true that everyone is doing their best. I will try to communicate with the customer. If you can deliver early, please notify me as soon as you can!”
Production Manager B: “Yes, of course!”
Sales B：“I’m really sorry. Our production line is full these days, and we are doing our best to put your order to the line. But there may still be a delay for one week. We are planning to find some temporary workers and try to make the delivery early.”
Buyer A:　“That’s not possible. Our Sales has already promised the customer. You need to put our order in front of the others.”
Sales B: “We did, and we are doing our best . We will continue to try, and let you know if we have good news.”
Have empathy and we will feel the humbleness and moral conscience from our deep heart. With a humble heart, any thought of unfairness or negativity will disappear. Any desire for power and bad act will also go away. Life will again be full of joy, and we will once be surrounded with happiness and peacefulness. Let the workforce be filled with positive energy and joy. Look past our own selfishness and work for a better life for everyone.
