The waiting for employee tourism has finally arrived! Hokkaido north country romantic tourism. After receiving the schedule in the pre-travel orientation, I was expected while I saw the name of the tours. I felt exciting, nervous and looking forward the trip. Because it was my first time to travel Japan, as well as I never seen the gathering snow before. First time is happy especially and nervous which because I am afraid of cold. However, I prepared warm clothes for this trip to experience the romantic snow. Hokkaido, here I come!

The first place where we went was Notre Dame Convent, it is a hidden attraction that was not on our tour list; it was surprised and a secret side. Notre Dame Convent is very beautiful and peaceful. At that time, the ground was covered with thick snow which was beautiful as a picture. Everyone enjoyed at that atmosphere and took the photos. It was delightful, wasn’t it? Also, the ice cream is the dessert what I suggest to taste. The first stop, everyone started the Hokkaido style—employee romantic travel.

The Goryokaku Park accompanied with delicious queuing food “the chicken hamburger” is really enjoyable. Goryokaku looks like a pentagram star and it is a favorite spot for the cherry-blossom viewing in spring. And there is other scene in the winter.

Next destination was Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. There are different kinds of shops inside. Many of my colleagues did the homework so they knew what item they must to get.

Last stop of first day, we came to Mount Hakodate to earn million. It obtains 3/3 star in a review from the “The Michelin Green Guide”. I was drinking the sweet corn soup which made my body warm as well as enjoyed the gorgeous sunset and night view.

The second day morning we went to the Hakodadte Morning Market. This market offered all kinds of fish just unloaded from the ship. I also tasted the sea urchin and bought the Hokkaido strawberry, the unwilling to eat Japanese strawberries in Taiwan, took an airplane to come to local, and it is a shame not having the sweet tasted of love- Tanukikoji is also an important shopping spot, my lovely colleagues made the important purchasing list, therefore, I followed her list to get the job done and I also bought some of my star products here. This is not another fun, the joy of travel is the scene will everywhere, having a joy heart, to enjoy the things happened during the tour. The Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch to see the large and small bears in the park. You can buy feeds to feed these big babies, they were standing up or sitting to wait for the feeds from the tourist. Some crows tried to fly down and take the food that had not eaten by those bears; it was kind of funny. Some bears knows how to beg, and some bear’s technic of catching the feeds is absolutely perfect. It just all fun and happy.

As long as came to the “Snow country”, thus, snow activity is one of important action. Driving mini-sledge with my daughter which was different from the experience of driving four-wheel off-road vehicle; it was more exciting and enjoyable. Banana boat on snow, snowmobile, and skateboard… all friends are giggle with happiness. The "Otaru Canal" was not originally an imagined huge Canal. Drinking a small cup coffee at Kitaichi Glassware Studio, to feel laid back of the tour, travel is to vent yourself, reset you self, and recharged energy to restart. To attend the ice fall festival, we stayed at Sounkyo Choyotei hotel for two nights. The Sounkyo Choyoteil is the hot spring hotel we stayed. Serves all you can eat foods with traditional Japanese style- it is a shame that I do not have four stomachs to taste all dishes. “The ice fall festival” is just on Sunday with activities, there are variety ice castle type and also the ice bar! Prepared with Japanese plum wine, came here to have a drink, does not need to go to the South and North Pole, I also came to ice bar to drink.

“Ice drift sightseeing boat”-- Khokhsk enters the ice-season season, during that time drifting ice drifts to Japan's Abashiri and Kinbyo areas along with the tides. Till the beginning of April, the weather turned warm, drifting ice gradually melted, so, to feel the beauty of drifting ice needed some luck. Fortunately, we were lucky, to see wave by wave of drifting ice, when the ship body broke the ice and forward, the drifting ice was crushed, it showed the blue and green rainbow color, exclaiming happened from time to time, It may be the only one of my life time to experience this scene. Thanks for PSI, let me have the chance to see the beauty of North Country. To reach Kitami Fox Village the heavy snow just began, piece by piece, it is snowing, this is from the past few days, the first time to feel the snowing, the most expected is snowing, snow is very hard to see in Taiwan, just In the grazing Kitami Fox Village, like the scene I saw from the Japanese or Korean drama. Wow! The snowing was stopped when we just left Kitami Fox Village!! Thanks God to hear our pray, let us see the Hokkaido romantic spring snow. Finally we ate a bowl of authentic Japanese ramen, to draw the perfect ending, look forward to the next year employee tour.
