On January 14, 2018, Sunday, the sky is glad, and cloud is happy. This kind of weather is suitable for picnic which the company planed today. On the early morning, my colleagues brought their families to the company atrium and ready to travel to the Bright Farm Mud Garden together by bus.
Arrived Farm Mud Park, the first scene came to my eyes were red lanterns all over the mountain and different colorful oil-paper umbrellas. There are a lot of activities provide by Mud Park for us, such as riding bicycles, hiking, archery, grass skiing, playing mahjong, singing Karaoke, playing sand, swing, pottery making, Ping-Pong, table tennis and so on. In addition, you can also experience life of the farm. For example, you can catch chicken, fishing in the pond and pick vegetables in the garden by yourself. Each of us was excited to see so many items of fun entertainments.
Especially the children saw the grass skiing area and run to it immediately. Then they also played sand, sit on a swing, play ball, pottery making and so on. All played with joy.
After a short break, the adults came to the cooking area and started to prepare for lunch. Under manager Chen’s arrangement, we went to the garden to pick some vegetables first and came back with two large full baskets of green vegetable. At the same time, the various food materials provided by the owner of the mud park is also ready.
The women were busy in washing and cutting vegetables, while the men were responsible for making fire, catching fish, kill chicken and fish. As the saying “it is tireless that man and women work together”, everyone work together, laughing and talking, in a meanwhile, side dishes and three pots were also ready for cooking, all wait for the chef to cook. The first pot was for Mrs. Chen, the manager of financial management department, she wanted to cook Taiwan sesame chicken. The second pot was for Mr. Liu, the assistant manager of product service department and Mrs. He, the director of biology department, they planned to cook Sichuan cuisine and Guangdong cuisine respectively. The last pot was for A Yong, the director of accounting department to cook Hunan cuisine. They all tried their best to make delicious cuisines for us. After a short while, Taiwan sesame chicken, Hunan chili fried pork, Sichuan spicy sausage, Guangdong ginger duck, Hunan braised fish, etc. the dishes were served at the table one after another and we started to enjoy these tasty foods earned by our labors.
After lunch, we started the rich and colorful entertainments and the laughter was everywhere. Particularly worth to mention here was that our boss, often called “prince of love song”, also sang a song in the Mongolian yurt that day.
Time was flying by, suddenly, it was time for leaving, but nobody wanted to say goodbye. What we got from this trip was not only food and pleasure, but also the spirit and wisdom of collaboration. So, I want to give my sincere thanks to our company for organizing this trip and it was really an unforgettable experience for us!
