ERP system replacement

PSI’s latest replacement of the ERP system is in the year 2005. The original ERP was developed under DOS mode, due to management wise with more and more sophisticated request, therefore TEAM ERP system was presented. In 2010, the executive members predicted that under the demand of the IPO, the implementation of the new ERP system will be vital. This implement will not only assist on related IPO matters such as the IFRS but also by improving the whole production management such as MES, EDI. By doing so, Pronology has begun on examining and evaluating many systems in November 2010. After experiencing almost 3 months comparisons between the systems, Lancer’s new product “NEO SOA ERP” has been chosen to manage and accomplish company’s goal by maintaining computerized management system as well as the preparation to go public.

Despite the fact by implementing the NEO SOA ERP system is for future development and maintenance, Pronology also introduces the NEOGen program development platform simultaneously, this platform will be developed by both PSI-TWN and PSI-CHN’s MIS team. By utilizing the platform, while MIS team takes on the challenges, Pronology achieves its own exclusive way of approaching its needs, “low volume, high mix” management.

Product quality has always been top one request by Pronology’s client. Not only is the quality expectation higher than what the vendor could supply, even the internal management is taken into consideration, and therefore Pronology uses the chance by implementing the new system to improve the unreasonable process and the reduction of duplicate work. The project has been launched in April 20th 2011, under the lead of Lancer consultant team and PSI’s executive members. In the conference meeting, both general manager addresses by announcing their strategic approach, then the project manager of Lancer introduces project organization, project scope and schedule. In the meeting, the other attendance has also made self introduction to everyone and at last, the sound ended with warm applause when PSI General Manager Gilbert pledged for success.
