Because of the progress of industrial 4.0, there is a revolution in manufacturing field – Information and manufacturing Automation. PSI is a low to middle volume & high quality EMS company. To build production automation line is not easy. Therefore, PSI is only focus on management system automation since 2012. The target is efficiency, errorless and transparent management. After the efforts of 8 years, PSI finished the paperless operation system and process flow automation. It significantly improves the information flow internally and externally. What is the next plan of PSI?

Through the brain-storming in our 2019 year end staff meeting, we have another big ambition in our information system and production line automation planning within 3 years. It includes improvements of SCM(Supply Chain Management), WMS(Warehouse Management), SFS(Shop Flow System), APS(Advanced Planning & Scheduling System), deviation management platform of different teams, Cell Screw driving Automation production system, moving mode DIP/Assembly Vision Inspection system, Working by Walking Around… etc.,

Technology keeps moving year by year. Application of Tablet PC, QR code & APP is mutual now. We discussed the possibility to use the new technology in our management system during our staff meeting last year. Then, we decided the new working way-- Working by Walking Around. Employees don’t need to work on a fixed cubic. To bring a tablet PC and follow the reminding of tablet, work everywhere and any time. Our next step of WMS is one progress of working by walking around system. Our goal is – No specific desk for the warehouse people. The warehouse people bring the tablet to process all of the works as material incoming, into certain shelf, material preparing by working order, material transfer and material counting. Also, to use the tablet scan the QR code part number and bin-code for material FIFO control.

Not only warehouse operation will do working by walking around system, but the system will also push to office and other working places. Most of the staffs can work everywhere. People can solve the issues right away at the working place. Just power on the tablet and do remote video conference connection. Discuss the issues and solve the issues immediately. It’s the speedy and transparent services from PSI.
