Production Schedule Management

The production schedule management is including the production schedule、operation schedule and capacity management. Generally speaking, it covers company strategy planning、customer's forecast、capacity plan、work and shift arrangement in production. In the narrow sense explanation, it includes four resources allocation with (1)raw materials、(2)manpower、(3)equipments and (4)space. The major purpose is making the production schedule and tracking the production progress that it looks like the central nervous system in factory. The raw materials incoming time、manpower、equipments and space allocation will be planned and performed by production control department for daily management.
Production Schedule Management --- The meaning is Production Schedule Control, the details as
following :
1. To make a total production schedule with interconnection for every process as SMT、DIP、
Test、Assy and Pack.
2. To ascertain every products and quantity by daily and weekly production in line (production record).
3. To know the production progress.
A) To know each semi-product and finish goods in which process.
B) To control the production progress on schedule for each semi-product and finish goods.
C) To check the production efficiency to find the difference between real capacity and
forecasted capacity.
D) Instant providing the remedy action for production progress delay.
E) Shipping requirements coordination and delivery for sales order.
For the sales order change speedy and flexible production request currently in EMS business. In company, we developed a production schedule automation system for production schedule management to calculate the optimal capacity and maximum utilization rate for each workstation and machine according to the standard time of each product.
Sometimes, the sale order change or production equipments problem momentarily affects the original schedule arrangement and interconnecting time between each production process. We can re-calculate the working time and line adjustment in process rapidly for each product and with linking up time calculation for next process through this automation system.
The largest benefit is how to apply a limited resource to plan a largest capacity or output value or others maximum target in the production schedule management.
It also produces an optima efficiency to meet most of customer requirements and with a best cost-profit ratio to become a faithful guardian of low volume and high mix production for every customer.
