Nowadays, customers’ requirements to quality demanding is server, and also the low volume and high mix orders are changed quickly, not to mention the lead time of delivery is compressed and short life cycle of product to this market conditions. Manufacturing managers must to improve the product quality yield rate rapidly and deliver the goods on time. In the meantime, to maintain the competitiveness of enterprises, they also need to keep the optimal production efficiency and the appropriate inventory levels. Having this in mind, we cooperated with NXN Technology from last year to develop a complete MIS system for factory management, setting each sub-system specifications and establish the project management to integrate with ERP system for achieving the maximum efficiency. We expect that the every project plan of MIS system will be developed and completed at the end of 2012.

The data collector, designed by NXN Technology uses Ethernet to build the real-time data collection among machine equipments, people and system. By the established data collector and be placed at every production process line, it can have the data exchanged with MIS system and be able to do more coordination, control, maintenance and record, achieving remote monitoring and management capability. In addition, it will enhance the production efficiency and optimize the benefit for equipment resources operation and management.

Currently ,company’s plan for MIS system includes :

1. Sales order management system ,
2. EDI automatic information exchange system ,
3. MES manufacturing execution system ,
4. Materials shortage management system ,
5. Automatic production schedule system,
6. Signage system,
7. Quality management system.

Software design is divided into three frameworks:

1. Programming the data exchange with ERP system between sales orders and working orders,
2. Information from data collector display working order production schedule and every process production status at real time,
3. Each sub-system operates management function independently. Furthermore, through the UI interface by NXN Technology and applying the popular mobile devices as Tablet PC to provide the operator an online status rapidly. It can also expand the scope of services by offering checking products production information function for customers by remote devices in the future.

To face the global economic downturn and the impact of speedy change, the company has always been continually pursuing the novelty and change. We believe that the MIS system development and implementation can be completed in this year by NXN Technology’s professional and PSI’s planning ability. To increase the production efficiency, reduce the manufacturing cost and enhance the company’s competitiveness for low volume and high mix production mode. Then we can expect to meet the customer’s requirements and achieve the company sustainable development goal.
